WEDDING FAQ

How far in advance do we need to book?

It is always best to book as far in advance as possible, but we’re always happy to help, so give us a call at 416.340.7753 and we will begin to build the event just as you imagine it.

What style of catering do you offer?

At Seventh Heaven Event Catering, our experience and expertise is vast and as such we excel in creating and executing cocktail receptions, passed hors d’oeuvres, top-notch food stations and seated plated dinners. We can assist you, whichever style suits your needs.

Are you solely a caterer or offer other wedding planning services?

Seventh Heaven is a full service event catering company and as such we are able to assist with rentals, décor, staffing, venue selection, DJ, A/V requirements, floral arrangements and entertainment needs.

I’d like to do a brunch at my home the day after the wedding. Can you cater at my house?

Absolutely, this is a frequent request and we are always happy to oblige. Many of our clients find it’s a nice way to thank the bridesmaids and groomsmen or friends and family that came from long distances to celebrate the special day.

Are we able to supply our own beer and/or liquor for our wedding?

The answer to that question is based on the venue. Under many circumstances, the venue itself must supply alcohol. If not, then it may be purchased using a Special Occasions Permit (SOP), which we are more than happy to help you obtain.

Do you do tastings?

We do. In fact we always recommend you come by our head office to see our facilities for yourself and enjoy a tasting in our showroom. This allows us an opportunity to discuss your menu along with the finer details of your wedding.

A few of our guests may have allergies or dietary restrictions. What should we do?

No problem. Simply let us know in advance and Seventh Heaven’s experienced chefs will create a delicious meal especially for those guests whether they’re a vegetarian, vegan or if they have an allergy to gluten, dairy or anything else. We will do our best to accommodate.

Can you provide staffing for our wedding?

Certainly. Our service staff is professional, courteous and among the best in the city. We’ll be happy to supply servers, bartenders and chefs as you may require.

When is our final guest count due?

We should have your final guest count along with the seating chart related to meal restrictions at least 48 hours prior to your wedding.

Are you able to take care of items such as linens, floral arrangements, staffing, décor, etc.?

Seventh Heaven can happily assist with any rentals needs, décor, professional staffing, audio-visual, limo service or any other needs your event may require. If you prefer a hands-on approach, we can gladly recommend one of our preferred suppliers.

Do you have set menus or am I able to customize a menu for our wedding?

Seventh Heaven has a wide array of menu options and our Event Catering Consultants will be happy to use those options to create a custom menu to suit your needs. If you would like a completely unique menu crafted just for your event, we can create anything you’d like so long as we have an appropriate amount of time for planning, design and trials.

Do you offer wedding cake services?

Of course! As a full service event company, Seventh Heaven would be pleased to offer assistance with any and all aspects of your wedding planning.

Do you charge for cake cutting?

No. Seventh Heaven never charges for cutting the cake on your special day.

Can you assist us in locating a venue?

Seventh Heaven is a full service company, and as such we will be happy to help find just the right location for your special day.

Is a deposit required to hold our date?

Yes. A 25% deposit of the estimated cost of the services we provide is required upon booking.
