We’re lucky in the city of Toronto to have so many wedding venues to choose from. However, for the couple looking for a venue that goes above and beyond, the choices become slimmer. There are, however, some venues that have completely blown us away. These are venues that are both spacious and functional, but most of all, they’re venues that are completely jaw-droppingly beautiful.

1. Toronto Botanical Gardens

The thing that makes the Toronto Botanical Gardens one of Toronto’s most beautiful wedding venues is its surroundings. While the venue is located in the city, it can be easy to forget where you are once you’re surrounded by breathtaking nature.

Toronto Botanical Gardens prides itself on its beautifully maintained property, with four acres that include seventeen themed gardens. In terms of wedding venues that offer outdoor space for events, the outdoor facilities at Toronto Botanical Gardens are some of the best in the city. However, if you want your guests to be able to enjoy the outdoor gardens while attending an indoor ceremony and reception, this venue has the facilities for that as well.

2. McMichael Canadian Art Collection

For couples interested in art, you couldn’t ask for a better wedding venue in Toronto than the McMichael Art Collection. While technically in the Greater Toronto Area, the McMichael Art Collection is not only visually stunning, with its rustic cabin aesthetic, it also houses an impressive collection of Canadian art, including numerous pieces from the Group of Seven.

The combination of a fascinating venue and a wonderful art collection is also enhanced by the location of this venue itself. Located in Kleinsburg, the local surroundings are incredibly picturesque. You can hold your ceremony outside on their grounds, overlooking the beautiful landscape.

3. Waterworks

This venue has only recently been opened to the public for weddings and other events. While the Waterworks is a historical landmark in Toronto, for many years it was disused. In an attempt to revive what was an impressive and important piece of architecture in the city, Waterworks has been revamped and now offers completely jaw-dropping interiors.

There is a beautiful blend of the oldworld and the new in this venue. Originally a public market in the 19thcentury, this is one of those wedding venues that has insisted on maintaining much of its former charm, while also adding contemporary touches. The result is quite simply wonderful. Located downtown, this venue is surrounded by hotels and entertainment for your out-of-town guests.
