One of the biggest keys to hosting great holiday parties is, of course, starting with a great venue. There is no shortage of great party venues to be found throughout the GTA, but with so many options, how do you go about choosing the ideal venue for your holiday party? 

Rather than search through pages and pages of venues and make trips all over the city in order to find the right place for your holiday party, we’ve done the hard work for you, and compiled this list of some of the best spots in the city. Here are four great venues for hosting holiday parties.

1. The Gates

In downtown’s Church and Gerrard neighbourhood, you'll find one of the city’s great undiscovered event spaces. The Gates is a downstairs party space that feels nothing like a basement. Soaring ceilings and a brick and stone façade give the space a prohibition-era style vibe. 

With wheelchair access, in-house audio visual equipment, and on-site catering available, this space is perfect for your next important holiday party. The Gates can accommodate parties of up to 120 seated guests or 350 in a cocktail format. 

2. The Uptown Loft

This newly renovated Uptown Loft event space is conveniently located near Yonge and Eglinton. The open space allows guests the freedom and creativity to personalize their own unique event. Modern amenities such as state of the art sound and lighting, hardwood floors, and chic decor will bring elegance and class to any holiday parties. The over 3,500 square foot facility can accommodate large events of up to 200 seated guests. The facility offers a fully licensed bar, on-site AV equipment, as well as tables, chairs, cutlery and glassware.

3. Artscape Sandbox

Artscape is a non-profit urban development organization whose goal is to make space for creativity and transform communities. Their collection of event spaces around the city is something of an achievement, but a standout among them for corporate event spaces is Artscape Sandbox, located on Adelaide Street West in the heart of the city’s entertainment district. 

This 6,000 square foot event space is ideal for corporate events and celebrations and can accommodate up to 200 guests.

4. York Mills Gallery

The York Mills Gallery in Midtown is a modern industrial loft style space perfect for hosting holiday parties of all shapes and sizes. The 22,000 square foot facility is divided into two distinct spaces that can accommodate a combined 650 seated guests or up to 850 in a cocktail format, making it an excellent venue for holiday parties with a long guest list. 

With amenities such as leather lounge furniture, cruiser tables, built in wooden bars and ambient lighting, the York Mills Gallery Space will ensure your event exceeds in elegance.
