Any great event starts with a great venue, one that will have your guests eager with anticipation from the moment they walk through the doors. In the GTA, there is no shortage of great event venues, but with all that variety comes the difficult task of choosing the ideal venue for your corporate event.

While there are venues of all shapes and sizes, all moods and themes, narrowing down to your perfect venue can depend on a lot of factors. How large is your event? Is it accessible for all of your guests? Does the venue host corporate events often? Is it easy for guests to get to by public transit? What are their food and beverage offerings? All this and more should be taken into consideration when choosing the venue for your next big event. If your goal is to stand out from the rest and host an event that is truly memorable, take a look at these great event venues in the GTA that are perfect for corporate events:

1. The Uptown Loft

This newly renovated event space in uptown Toronto is conveniently located near Yonge and Eglinton TTC stations. The open space allows guests the freedom and creativity to personalize their own unique event. Modern amenities such as state of the art sound and lighting, hardwood floors, and chic decor will bring elegance and class to any occasion. The over 3,500 square foot facility can accommodate large events of up to 200 seated guests. The facility offers expert catering services, a fully licensed bar, on-site AV equipment as well as tables, chairs, cutlery, and glassware.

2. Evergreen Brick Works

With its ability to handle up to 2,000 person standing receptions, Evergreen Brick Works is an excellent venue for large-scale corporate events. This facility is one of the most sought-after event spaces in the city thanks to its historic natural features and its prime location in the heart of the Don Valley. The site opened in 2010 as Canada’s first large-scale community environmental centre and has been a showcase for connecting nature, culture, and community ever since.

3. Artscape Youngplace

Artscape is a non-profit urban development organization whose goal is to make space for creativity and transform communities. Their collection of event spaces around the city is something of an achievement, but a standout among them for corporate event spaces is ArtscapeYoungplace, located in the Queen West neighbourhood. The former Shaw Street School facility reopened in 2013 after many renovations to the 75,000 square foot space to transform it into the now 6-room event space, which can accommodate up to 400 guests.

4. Sony Centre For The Performing Arts

Not all great event spaces have to be unknown or off the beaten path; sometimes what a corporate event needs is a big flashy space that’s well-known for putting on events of all shapes and sizes. This is exactly what you’ll find at the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts. This three-level performance space offers multiple rooms and facilities which can accommodate any corporate event, from a small intimate dinner to a 3,000 person presentation.

5. Branksome Hall

Branksome Hall is one of Toronto’s newest event spaces, and this all-girls boarding and preparatory school is well-equipped to host events of all shapes and sizes during evenings and weekends. The White Oak Suite has a capacity of 350 seated guests or 500 standing, while the Silver Birch Suite has an even larger capacity of 400 seated or 550 standing guests. The facility is also home to a gymnasium, kitchen, dining hall, and a cozy fireside lounge.
