Everyone loves a good party, especially when it’s held at an amazing party venue, but how do you select the right location for your special affair?

There are many party venues available in the city of Toronto but of course, some rise above the others. Whether you’re looking for glitz and glamor, industrial chic or understated simplicity, there’s always a party venue to match your mood. Here are five fabulous party venues in Toronto.

1. Maison Mercer

What’s more fun for your private party than a 12,000 square foot venue in the centre of Toronto’s vibrant entertainment district?

Maison Mercer is a multi-experience party venue located just minutes from the Rogers Centre, Metro Convention Centre and the Bell Lightbox. This party space offers music, dancing, stocked bars, a performance stage and a rooftop patio, all in a sophisticated atmosphere.

With ample space, Maison Mercer can accommodate groups of 250 all the way up to 1,300 at full capacity.

2. The Power Plant

If you’re looking for a party space that boasts history and a modern, sophisticated atmosphere, look no further than The Power Plant, located on the shores of Lake Ontario in downtown Toronto.

This former powerhouse has been renovated into a unique modern gallery space that can host private parties and events of varying sizes.

The space is made up of four galleries and newly renovated lobby and outdoor terrace. Host your small intimate party in one of the galleries or rent the entire space for parties of up to 2,000 people.

3. Artscape Wychwood Barns

The Artscape group is a collective non-profit urban development organization which has a number of unique party venues located around the city. One of their premier spaces for parties is Wychwood Barns, a former transit facility that has been renovated into an amazing and unique party venue.

The space is located just north of Wychwood Park neighbourhood, near St. Clair Avenue West. While the building has a few spaces to offer, the highlight is the Covered Street Barn, which features a full length skylight which fills the entire space with natural light, giving an illusion of being outside. While the Covered Street Barn can accommodate parties of up to 600 guests, it can also be partitioned off into smaller, more intimate spaces for wedding receptions.

4. 99 Sudbury

The Queen West Neighbourhood is well known for art and design, and the event spaces at 99 Sudbury won’t fall short of this reputation. The building is a restored glass factory and offers three different rooms that will suit almost any type of party you have in mind.

The Glass Factory room can accommodate up to 700 guests and features 17-foot high exposed beam ceilings and hardwood floors. The Lounge is warm, intimate and inviting, and can host parties of 25 to 110 guests, while The 99 Gallery is a large open-concept space with over 4,300 sq. ft. making it suitable for large-scale parties, seated dinners, cocktail receptions, launches, fashion shows etc.
