This museum grew out of the private collection of Sonja Bata, who had so many shoes that they would not fit in the Bata family’s available private storage space. Home to over 12,500 shoes, and an international hub for footwear research, the Bata Shoe Museum is also a beautiful premiere event space.
Since it opened its doors in 1995, the museum has hosted countless premiere events within its walls.
The atrium at the Bata Shoe Museum is expansive and lit naturally through four-storey, 42-foot high art glass windows. The main reception area is 1200 square feet, and the facility also has two intimate studios with adjoining reception areas, and an enclosed patio – not to mention a whole museum for guests to explore.
As a venue space, the Bata Shoe Museum can accommodate a very wide range of events, including networking events, press conferences, receptions, dinners, weddings, fashion shows, tours, and even birthday parties. Located in the heart of Toronto, and with such elegant modern design, it’s little wonder that this space is used so often for premiere events.
There are so many venue spaces available in Toronto that Seventh Heaven want to share with you. We’re in the business of knowing the right spaces for the right events, and we want to share our expertise with you on this blog. As a regular feature, we will be covering venues that we love, and providing an overview of each for our readers. If you’re interested in learning about the best venues in this city for catered events, follow us for more to come.
