We’re lucky in Toronto to be so close to stunning venues for hosting parties, but there are five in particular that truly go above and beyond. If you’re looking for the perfect party venues, here are five that you absolutely need to know about.
1. Fermenting Cellar
Location is a big factor when it comes to great party venues, and in this regard, the Fermenting Cellar is optimally placed. Located in the heart of trendy Distillery District, this venue is hip, beautiful, and very accommodating. Like the other buildings that make up Distillery District, the Fermenting Cellar comes with rich history, originally erected in 1861 as part of Toronto’s industrial waterfront.
The venue maintains its historical charm with limestone exterior, wooden beams, and cement floor inside. It’s a perfection of the industrial chic that has become wildly popular as the backdrop for stylish parties, with an eclectic design that is very becoming of the space.
2. Maison Mercer
Maison Mercer is a club and lounge style venue located in Toronto that is genuinely breathtaking in both proportions and style. If you’re looking for a beautiful venue that can host a big party, Maison Mercer is a great choice–the venue can accommodate up to 1300 guests. As a venue outfitted to entertain a large crowd, the amenities that it offers are unparalleled.
Maison Mercer is a multi-level building that boasts video screens, LED lighting, elevated seating areas, a performance stage, a dance floor, and a rooftop terrace that gives guests a stunning view of the city skyline. Because the space is a club on the weekends, weeknight events work best in this space.
3. 99 Sudbury
99 Sudbury is one of the most popular venues in the city of Toronto, and it is easy to see why. Located in the Arts and Design District of Queen West, 99 Sudbury is a reminiscent of an art gallery. It’s both elegant and tastefully designed, while also providing event planners with a virtual blank slate, a space onto which they can impose their own aesthetic for their party.
With exposed pipework, high ceilings, and white walls, 99 Sudbury can be whatever you want it to be. In terms of party venues in the city, 99 Sudbury has a truly unique vibe. Once a glass factory, then an after-hours club, it is now a venue that is perfect for an amazing party space.
4. The Everleigh
The Everleigh is easily one of the most eclectic party venues in the city, which is precisely the reason that it is one of our continuous favourite places for bashes that are looking for an artistic and rare venue experience.
Selfdescribed as a mix of rustic Canadiana, vintage furniture, and contemporary street art, The Everleigh is the sort of venue that itself becomes a guest at your party. It is certainly one of the most memorable venues we have yet to come across in Toronto. While the venue has tons of space, it retains an intimate feeling for guest when it hosts bigger parties.Again, with this space being a club on the weekends, weeknight parties are perfect here!
5. Uniun
Uniun is the ideal venue for those in the market for party venues where their guests can truly let loose, dance, and have a good time. Uniun has a cavernous feel to it with high ceilings that are come adorned with 14ft high bronze metal arches. These arches stretch across the venue like the beams on steel bridges.
Nestled in between these metal arches are the original post factory beams from the days in which Uniun was an industrial site. Perhaps the most stunning part of this venue, however, is the lighting, which makes use of the latest technology to provide guests with a luminous, beautiful space.
