For nature lovers or couples just looking for a venue that’s a little different, here’s where you can have a greenhouse wedding in the GTA.

Madsen’s Greenhouse

Newmarket is home to a truly tropical paradise that doesn’t involve leaving the country. Madsen’s answers the question: Where can I have a greenhouse wedding in the GTA? This chapel and banquet hall is landscaped for year-round availability that still protects you and guests from any moisture or condensation you expect in greenhouses.

Its lush garden greenhouse is a 14,000 square foot property seating around 240 guests. The chapel outside is available for onsite wedding ceremony with the garden and patio open to relax in before moving into the hall for dinner. The venue has it’s own catering and lets you bring in your own special occasion permit and alcohol to be served by their Smart Serve certified bartenders.

Allan Gardens

For those of you who couldn’t bear to leave the city, Allan Gardens is smack dab in the middle of Toronto. It’s the city’s best-known greenhouse right in the hustle and bustle of it all. Act fast, as the booking season for this venue is only available between April 30 and October 31.

The garden’s permanent collection of begonias, hibiscus, cycads, and everything in between will truly light up your wedding for an unforgettable experience. For an intimate wedding with lush colours to satisfy your greenhouse wedding dream, Allan Gardens is your answer. This lovely, quiet place for all plant lovers makes for the perfect greenhouse wedding backdrop. Small weddings for 40 people are booked on an hourly basis from the City of Toronto.

Centennial Park Conservatory

Etobicoke is home to Centennial Park Conservatory, a venue that allows a short escape from the looming skyscrapers and busy city without having to travel too far in the GTA. Its greenhouse is filled with blooms, greenery, and even a few little critters—mostly goldfish, birds, and turtles.

Like Allan Gardens, the booking season is short, with the venue availability also beginning April 30 and ending October 31. For intimate weddings seating up to 40 people, with plants, flowers, and nature at your side, this greenhouse wedding will make you feel like you’ve been transported to a mystical place despite being in the GTA.

Heeman’s Greenhouse

Still wondering: “Where can I have a greenhouse wedding in the GTA?” Plan your wedding just outside of the GTA at Heeman’s Greenhouse in London. This family owned-and-operated greenhouse held its first wedding by a couple with this theme in mind.

Heeman’s is a local favourite with endless possibilities. Its main greenhouse is big enough for tables and a dance floor. Dress up the venue with colours that fit your wedding theme, along with flowers and other décor to enhance the greenhouse or add a rustic-chic element into your day. Be prepared to put in some serious legwork, but for a greenhouse wedding in the GTA, it’s a unique location.
